SAG-AFTRA Has Released the Full Tentative 129-Page Contract That Ended the Actors’ Strike

SAG-AFTRA issues a full tentative 129-page contract, ending a 118-day actors’ strike, and it receives “more than $1 billion in new compensation and benefits plan funding”.

Duncan Crabtree-Ireland, SAG-AFTRA National Executive Director and Chief Negotiator, shared some words You can do this along with issuing documents Watch it in full here.

“These contracts yield more than $1 billion in new compensation and benefit plan funding (including an additional $317.2 million for benefit plans),” Crabtree-Ireland wrote. “The contracts establish lengthy and detailed AI guardrails that did not previously exist.” and protecting you as we face the challenge of this new technology, hair and makeup equity, significantly increased background coverage, larger streaming residuals, a new Streaming Success Fund, and much more. These gains are only possible because of your sacrifice, solidarity and perseverance during the 118 days of the strike and will be guaranteed if you vote to ratify the agreement.”

The contract was released as a way to urge SAG-AFTRA members to vote for the agreement by the December 5 ratification voting period deadline. If the agreement is approved, it will be in effect from November 9, 2023, to June 30, 2026.

The latest SAG-AFTRA strike was the longest in history, surpassing the 1980 strike that lasted 95 days. The most pleasant news also came soon after the writers’ strike ended after 148 days.
